"I have spent many exciting hours reading Smith Wigglesworth's sermons and interviewing people who knew him or attended his Gospel crusades. Many describe him with the same adjectives, such as "authoritative, bold compassionate, very challenging," calling him a 'man of eternal value' who lived a 'life full of faith'."
"I have collected sermons that Smith Wigglesworth preached under 'Divine unction'. Some of them are lengthy and others are short."
"I believe that these sermons will lift you to new horizons in your personal relationship with Jesus. The cry of the Spirit that came through Wigglesworth can still be heard through these sermons."
Colin writes,
If I was challenged to pick only two Christian books to own, I'd choose the Holy Bible and this anthology of Smith Wigglesworth sermons. Smith was a working class plumber from Yorkshire. He got saved as a boy, growing into an effective Christian. But he was hungry for more from God. He sought and received the Holy Ghost Baptism in the Sunderland outpouring of 1907. Aged 48, the Lord used Wigglesworth to introduce the power baptism to many nations, work countless stunning miracles and lead multitudes to Christ. He remains far and away England's greatest evangelist."
His son-in-law transcribed his sermons in short-hand as Smith preached them. They carry the strongest anointing of anything you will read apart from the Bible. Wigglesworth's sermons and teachings continue to reap results with increasing measure. Read them, and you will discover why.
His faith is real, alive, genuine, and without pretence. He glorifies the Living Christ by the Holy Spirit's anointing. He unquestionably warrants the accolade, 'Apostle of faith'. His message is the Lord Jesus Christ, and leaves readers saved, healed, and hungry for more from God.
